Lieutenant Commander Hank Simon has served one weekend a month and two weeks each year for the Navy reserves for more than five years, and over 15 years in active service. During the day, Simon is the RK Toyota Virginia Collections Manager. It takes skill and strength to stay on top of Navy Reserves duties and civilian job duties at the same time.
As a reservist, Simon drills as an Information Warfare Officer with a U.S. Joint Forces Command Reserve Unit. “I separated from active service in September 1993, after more than 15 years in the Navy,” says Simon. “In September 2001, I transferred to active Navy Reserve status.”
Lieutenant Commander Simon learned Navy leadership skills that helped him advance to his management position with RK Chevy / RK Scion.
“Gathering information and enjoying the camaraderie of a team atmosphere is an important part of Navy leadership skills,” says Simon. “And, those skills have served me well in more than 12 years of employment with RK.”
